Vacation Bible School

This summer Drummondtown Baptist
Church and VBS participants were

"Wild About God!"

Serengeti Trek was a huge success!
Below you will find some cool information and some
"wild" shots of our VBS in action.

Each night Serengeti Trek participants met in the
sanctuary for Sing and Play Roar & The Mane Event. Here they all learned the theme for the day, the Bible Memory Verse and new songs that everyone was "Wild" about. Everyone also got to see Serengeti Eddie and Cara learn something new
about God each day.

Crew Leaders helped their crews learn songs,
information about the Serengeti, and how important
it is to Know God, Love God, Tell About God, Talk
to God and Work for God just like their crews.
Drummondtown Baptist was full of Elephants,
Monkeys, Giraffes, Cranes, Zebras, Rhinos, Gazzels
and Lions for one whole week.

Songs, songs and more songs!
Everyone at Serengeti Trek was a Star!

Wild Games let everyone get "wild".
Even the Crew Leaders!

Where would we be without our
Sing & Play Roar Crew!
Doesn't it look like they were having
as much fun as the kids?

"Critter Crafts" brought out the
creativity in everyone!

Daily Challenges were given out to everyone during
The Mane Event. These challenges included many ways to share God's love throughout the week.

Participants wrote letters to relatives telling them that they would pray for them. They prayed in public places before meals. They called grandparents and told them that God loved them. They also found many other ways to share God's love during the week.

The next evening participants shared thier challenges with everyone while crew leaders helped them place leaves on our tree to show how
sharing God's Love helps that love grow!

Serengeti Trek participants donated almost $100 to the
Precious Children Home Project in India through the
Virginia Baptist Association.
The proceeds go directly to support children
orphaned by the tsunami. This Christian Children's Home will help
these children receive food, shelter, and the Love of Christ.
$400 will cover the cost of one child per year.
The Youth of Drummondtown Baptist
will match whatever funds were raised through this VBS Mission.
Anyone interested in supporting this worthwhile project can contact  Shirley.
